My long awaited blog entry!
Friday. 10.15.10 1:28 pm
I am going to kick this awesome 1st entry with an anaylisis of the mistakes and the results that followed. At least my faith in the Lord is still intact, I have taken several hits in the past few months and I'm still a believer.

"Everything was going great!! untill june. thats when i tried marijuana for the first time. Now that i look back on it its kinda cool."

It was that mentality that lost me my job back in March of this year. It's funny how I said "Now that I look back on it" because now I actually am looking back on it and I realize how stupid I was in my teen years. This was stated on page 5 in "so my first actual entry..." back in November of 2007.

I like how in "dreams & religion" I tried to sound smart XD

"chicka chicka waa whatttt" on page 3 was probably the happiest period of my life to this day.

Ahhhhh, and now we get to the big one.. The daddy of all the poor choices I have made in this past year. It starts in this entry "My weekend" on page 2 or 3 (it may get bumped after I post this).

"Saturday I didn't do much during the day, but that night I went to a friends house and played quarters. I got 6 or 7 free beers out of the deal, hell yea. That lasted untill around 4am, by then I was beyond tired and I fell asleep with ease.

Today I hung out with my step bro Mike, and my step dad JC. We actually got along fairly well which is a very rare occasion. We watched NASCAR, the Rangers game, and drank beer. This time I got 7 or 8 beers out of it, thats enough to put me where I want to be."

Do you see a problem with this?

Thats right you guessed it, all the beer drinking.

I was back in my party stage. Little did I know that in just over a month, on the night of July 3rd, I would go to jail for a DWI. The SAME day I swore in on the Rangers field. Luckly for me I was bailed out in time to swear in, but it was all too late for my Air Force career at that point. What had happened was I found an alternitave for marijuana, even though I still smoked a little while I was waiting for my ship date.

A full year has passed since that horrible time in my life and I have taken care of everything involved with the DWI except another year of probation. I will try to get back in again as soon as I can get a waiver. But I think my chances are slim to none. Because of the economy and the mass amount of people wanting to get in right now.

Shortly after I got arrested my cousin helped me by giving me a decent job in the construction business. I made enough money to have my own apartment and pay everything I had to. Things were going great until March. Thats when they decided to give a random UA and on that day a few of my co-workers and I lost their jobs. It was a shame because 3 weeks prior to that I had stopped using the drug and was not far from being able to give a clean sample. I stayed sober for several months after that. Then I started hanging out with the same people that influenced me to go to these parties and do the same things that got me in this mess to begin with. Luckly this didn't last long and now I have been completely sober for a few months now (no weed, accessive drinking, cigarettes).

I can see the Lord doing his work in this testimony. If I hadn't lost my job then I would not have quit smoking, and if I had not gotten a DWI I would not have stopped drinking. I can clearly see the bad choices I have made and now I can learn from them so I can make better ones in the future.

Thanks for reading =)

Well, I'm glad to hear you've got such a positive take on your negative experiences. Learning from something bad is always better than just being frustrated and cursing life for what it's thrown at you...

On a side note, I couldn't read part of the entry because the Panda Golf box was blocking it. X|
